Tenant Onboarding Guide
Onboard a new tenant: configure branding, roles and defaults for your organization.
6 min read
Overview
A tenant is your organization’s isolated workspace. This guide covers the one-time setup an administrator does to get a tenant ready for the whole team.
Who does this
Tenant onboarding is performed by an Enterprise Admin.
Creating a tenant
- Sign up and create your organization workspace.
- Complete onboarding, including choosing a subscription plan; this sets your limits for agents, monthly messages and storage.
- Set your organization name and default language under Settings → General.
Configuring branding
Brand the customer-facing surfaces so conversations feel like your product.
- Set your organization details under Settings → General.
- Brand each bot’s Web Widget on its Channels tab: bot name, title, subtitle, avatar, colors and layout.
- Set the display name and identity for each messaging channel you connect.
Setting up roles & departments
B6AI uses role-based access. In Teams you invite agents and group them into departments; in Roles & Permission you review roles and, where allowed, define custom ones. Assign each teammate the least-privileged role that lets them do their job.
| Role | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Enterprise Admin | Full workspace administration: teams, roles, integrations, billing. |
| Agent Admin | Manages agents and bots; oversees Chats, routing and canned responses. |
| Agent | Handles live conversations in Chats and works Tickets. |
Default preferences
- Set business hours and time zone under Settings → Business Hours.
- Define routing behavior under Settings → Routing Rules.
- Set default notifications under Settings → Notifications & Alerts.
Go-live checklist
- Confirm your plan and limits under Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- Invite administrators and agents in Teams and assign roles.
- Connect at least one integration (Settings → Integrations) and enable a channel on a bot.
- Publish your first bot and run a live test conversation.
Ready
When every item is checked, your tenant is ready for production traffic.
